In 2010, Applebee’s came out with a new fresh look—one quite different from the striped awnings and exposed neon that had been the standard for a couple of decades. With over 2,000 functioning nationwide locations open 7 days a week, a full renovation could have meant a significant loss of revenue for this neighborhood dining chain. Luckily, Hilton Displays accepted the challenge to tackle a complete renovation in 2 ½ days. Detailed planning, preparatory permitting, and manufacturing began months in advance but to the customer, this “new look” appeared to happen overnight. The complete rebranding package for each location included an eyebrow canopy, roof tower structure, illuminated and branded awnings, internally illuminated LED can letters, welcome signage, and a fresh new monument sign. With the care and attention of Hilton Displays, Applebee’s locations everywhere got a complete renovation with a quick turnover.
